Pakistan’s Balanced Diplomacy Recognized as U.S. Priorities Shift, Says Report
A recent analysis published in the international journal The Diplomat highlights Pakistan’s growing importance in the evolving global order.

Islamabad: Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and active military diplomacy are increasingly being seen as drivers of its rising profile on the global stage.
According to Media reports, a recent analysis published in the international journal The Diplomat highlights Pakistan’s growing importance in the evolving global order. The report notes a visible shift in U.S. strategic priorities, suggesting Washington now views Pakistan as a more critical partner than India in regional affairs.
The publication underscores Pakistan’s pivotal role in both South Asia and the Middle East, stressing that the country has emerged as a significant player in shaping U.S. policy in these regions. It also points out that the recent flare-up between India and Pakistan has altered Washington’s assessment of regional military capabilities.
In its assessment, The Diplomat argues that India’s ability to serve as a “net security provider” has been called into question amid changing circumstances. Meanwhile, the alignment of shared interests has further strengthened U.S.–Pakistan ties, leaving Washington less inclined to regard India as its principal partner in South Asia.
The report concludes that this strategic shift in American thinking is a growing source of unease for New Delhi, while simultaneously marking a diplomatic success for Islamabad.
