Bangkok – The Ministry of Culture, through the National Culture Committee, has conferred the prestigious honorary title “Sirisinlapin – National Artist” upon Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of Visual Arts (Painting).

The National Artist Award is presented annually to individuals whose artistic achievements hold great cultural value for Thai society and the nation, across three categories: Visual Arts, Literature, and Performing Arts.

For the 2024 awards, the committee received a total of 574 nominations, including one royal nomination. After careful review, 11 awardees were selected: one royal recipient and three honorees in Visual Arts; one honoree in Literature; and six honorees in Performing Arts.

Her Royal Highness’s exceptional talent and artistic contributions have been widely acclaimed in both academic and artistic circles. Beyond her creative excellence, she has played an instrumental role in preserving and promoting Thailand’s national identity, offering immeasurable patronage to the safeguarding of cultural heritage with grace and distinction.

The recognition highlights not only Her Royal Highness’s personal achievements in painting, but also her enduring commitment to uplifting Thai culture and inspiring future generations of artists.
