Thailand Launches ‘Special Deal’ Campaign to Boost Tourism from Mexico
The campaign also included providing the latest Thai tourism updates to Mexican travel agents, operators, and media representatives.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the "Thailand Special Deal" tourism campaign to expand Thai tourism in the Mexican market during the Thai Festival Mexico 2025, organized by Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 9–10 August 2025. The event coincided with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Mexico.
Targeting high-spending Mexican travelers, TAT has partnered with Mexico’s leading department store, El Palacio de Hierro, offering its customers exclusive Thai tourism promotions. The campaign also included providing the latest Thai tourism updates to Mexican travel agents, operators, and media representatives.
Over 60 top-spending customers and 30 travel agents participated in the campaign launch and related activities.
Mexican travelers are the second-largest group of visitors to Thailand from Latin America, after Brazil. Between 1 January and 3 August 2025, Thailand welcomed 26,960 Mexican visitors. Through its ongoing tourism projects, TAT aims to attract 51,600 Mexican tourists to Thailand in 2025.
