Thailand and Cambodia Pledge Safe Borders, Legal Compliance in GBC Talks Chaired by Malaysia

Thailand's Deputy Defence Minister, General Nattaphon Narkphanit, and his delegation arrived at Subang Military Airport in Malaysia this morning (7 August) to participate in the General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting between Thailand and Cambodia.
General Nattaphon paid a courtesy call on Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who is also serving as ASEAN Chair and hosting the event, before attending the afternoon's Extraordinary Session of the General Border Committee Meeting between Thailand and Cambodia.
The key principles underlying the negotiations at this Extraordinary Session of the GBC Meeting between Thailand and Cambodia focus primarily on ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens from both countries. At the same time, the Thai side guarantees that all negotiations and outcomes comply with domestic and international law while upholding the country's interests and national dignity.
