Lahore: Governor Punjab/Chancellor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that India is incapable of launching any aggression against Pakistan, adding that its drama has been flopped. The entire nation stands by the Pakistan Army . He expressed these views while addressing the second convocation of Okara University and talking to the media.

Speaking at the ceremony on this occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that despite being a new educational institution, Okara University is progressing rapidly. He said that under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Sajjad Mubeen, this institution is poised to become one of the world's top universities, ranking among the best not only in Pakistan but globally, in the near future. The Governor of Punjab said that the Chancellor's Office will continue to provide all possible support to Okara University and the Vice Chancellor. He advised the students to continue  hard work so that the Muslim Ummah can regain its lost position. Expressing confidence in the capabilities of the youth, the Governor of Punjab said that the youth of Pakistan is very talented. He said that today is the day of the students as well as their parents who sacrificed their lives for the education of their children. He emphasized the importance of character building.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Sajjad Mubeen said that this day is a historical milestone for Okara University. He said that due to the tireless work of his team and teachers, the reputation of the university has been strengthened today and we are moving towards new heights in the field of higher education. He added that his top priority is to equip the students not only with education but also with the spirit of ethics, research and national service.

As many as10654 students were awarded degrees, while gold medals were also given to students who showed outstanding performance . The Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, distributed degrees among the students and appreciated their hard work. The ceremony was attended by senior journalist Salman Ghani, political and social leader Mian Ali Hassan, former MNA Sajjad-ul-Hassan, former MNA Rai Ghulam Mujtaba, Rana Abdul Rehman Advocate, Shabbir Hussain Jafri, and other important persons.
