JDW Sugar Mills Group Donates New Bus Worth PKR 3 Crore to Khwaja Fareed University

RAHIM YAR KHAN: In a commendable philanthropic gesture, the JDW Sugar Mills Group has donated a new bus worth approximately PKR 3 crore (30 million) to Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT). The donation was formally handed over during a ceremony attended by senior officials from the university and the JDW Group.
Group Chairman Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood and Managing Director Jahangir Khan Tareen spearheaded the initiative, emphasizing the group’s commitment to supporting educational institutions. The keys to the bus were presented by JDW’s Executive Director of Operations Dr. Hassan Iqbal, Technical Director Javed Iqbal, General Manager of Administration and HR Safdar Khan Kanju, Assistant General Manager Admin Jam Kabir Khan, Assistant General Manager External Affairs Abdul Khaliq Khan Kanju, and Manager Admin Asif Nazeer Khan.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Amir Azam Khan thanked the donors, highlighting the bus’s role in enhancing student mobility and academic operations. The ceremony was attended by former Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shehzad Murtaza, Registrar Dr. Javed Iqbal, Dean Dr. Muhammad Sagheer, Director of Transport Dr. Aslam Khabin, Assistant Director Press and Media Publications Zain-ul-Abidin, Media Coordinator Malik Khan, and JDW Group’s Media In-Charge Noman Khan Kurai.
Also present were Abdul Razzaq Khan Gola (PA to EDO), Basharat Ali, Mahmood Saqib Solangi, and other university staff. The donation underscores JDW Group’s ongoing collaboration with KFUEIT, reflecting its broader vision of fostering education and community development in the region.
