IJT goons attack PU’s security guards
LAHORE: (Saturday, May 3, 2025): Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba goons attacked and injured two security guards of Punjab University. According to a PU spokesperson, IJT’s goons asked for their identification during the security guards’ checking at the gate, and IJT workers Zain Sarfraz, Ghazanfar Ali, Muhammad Anis, Shamrez Mumtaz, Zain Shaukat, Samiullah, Usman Ahmed and Hammad Raza attacked them. He said that the security guards had asked IJT’s trustee Zohaib Fakhri and Nazim Hammad Raza for their identification at the gate. He said that most of the IJT workers involved in the attack have been expelled. The spokesperson said that in the future, if any expelled IJT worker is seen, he will be referred to the police. He said that strict checking will continue as usual at the gates of the university.
