PSCA RELEASED APRIL 15 EMERGENCY CALL STATISTICS
2.87 MILLION CALLS RECEIVED, POLICE HELP PROVIDED IN OVER 224,000 CASES

CITIZENS URGED TO AVOID IRRELEVANT CALLS: PSCA SPOKESPERSON
Lahore, May 3: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has released the statistics for emergency helpline 15 calls received across Punjab, including Lahore, for the month of April 2025. According to the details, a total of 2,874,154 calls were received on the 15 Emergency Helpline during April. Out of these, 709,544 calls were deemed irrelevant, while 186,604 calls were made to seek general information. Police assistance was provided in 224,494 cases, where timely intervention was carried out. Additionally, 8,030 calls related to traffic issues were addressed with proper guidance by the relevant departments. The Electronic Data Analysis Centre (EDAC) extended support in investigations by providing video evidence in 520 cases to law enforcement authorities. Furthermore, the Virtual Women Police Station facilitated the registration of 4,814 FIRs based on women's complaints during the month, while the Virtual Centre for Child Safety successfully resolved 5,436 child-related cases. The PSCA spokesperson emphasized the importance of responsible use of the 15 Helpline and urged citizens to avoid making unnecessary calls so that timely help can be provided in actual emergencies.
