LAHORE:  The Pakistan Peoples Party Lahore Division held a formal notification distribution ceremony at the Peoples Secretariat in Model Town, marking a significant step in the party's organisational restructuring across the city. Lahore Division President Faisal Mir presided over the event, distributing official appointment notifications among newly designated divisional and town office-bearers, with Majid Ghori also present on the occasion.
 
Among those who received notifications at the divisional level were Senior Vice President Shahid Abbas Advocate, Vice Presidents Amir Nasir Butt, Maqsooma Bukhari, Zeeshan and Tahira Jalib, Deputy General Secretary Khurram Farooq, Deputy Information Secretaries Ahmad Ghaman, Asjad Malik and Hassan Abbas, Finance Secretary Asghar Bhatti, Secretary Records and Events Nabil Nasir, and Office Secretary Atif Khokhar.
 
In the first phase of the restructuring drive, notifications were distributed among the newly appointed office-bearers of seven towns, namely City Town, Raiwind Town, Nishtar Town, Ravi Town, Iqbal Town, Shalimar Town and Model Town. Syed Afraz Naqvi, Moin Ahmad Butt and Abbas Shah were appointed as President, General Secretary and Information Secretary respectively of the Model Town organisation, while Rana Imran was named its Senior Vice President.
 
Amjad Jatt, Rao Shujaat and Hamza Amjad were designated President, General Secretary and Information Secretary of Iqbal Town. Dr Waseem Hamid, Iftikhar Ali Shakir and Affan Aslam were appointed to the corresponding positions in Nishtar Town, while Syed Ahmad Raza, Mansha Prince and Malik Owais took charge of City Town. Rana Faisal Dilshad, Rana Sohail and Rana Shahbaz Khan were appointed to lead Raiwind Town, and Zahid Zulfikar Khan, Syed Zahid Ali Shah and Hamza Shakoor were designated to head Shalimar Town. Mian Hamza Abbas, Javed Ilyas alias Jaji Butt and Hassan Gilani were appointed President, General Secretary and Information Secretary of Ravi Town.
 
PPP Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf, General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza, Senior Vice President Rana Farooq Saeed, Information Secretary Shahzad Saeed Cheema and Deputy General Secretary Usman Malik extended their congratulations to all the newly appointed office-bearers. They expressed confidence that the new organisational structure would strengthen the party and that the PPP would emerge as the foremost political force raising its voice on public issues with each passing day.
 
Speaking to the media at the Peoples Secretariat, Faisal Mir described the event as the first organisational meeting of PPP Lahore, at which party structures for the seven towns of the city were being formally announced. He said that each town organisation would comprise fifteen office-bearers and that all town organisations would be completed by the 26th of the current month, after which the party would proceed to constitute zones, union councils and wards.
 
Faisal Mir further announced that the PPP aimed to complete a membership drive of twenty thousand members in Lahore within the next four months and that membership enrolment for the local government elections would also be finalised during this period. He added that organisations achieving their membership targets would be rewarded with meetings with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Zardari. Emphasising that the party was working in accordance with the ideology of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, he noted that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was advancing the party's mission by bringing the next generation into its fold. Faisal Mir stressed the importance of bringing women and youth to the forefront of the party's activities and reaffirmed the PPP's commitment to rebuilding a strong presence in Lahore, concluding his remarks by congratulating all the newly appointed office-bearers.
