LAHORE: Senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan expressed his views on the current political situation while speaking to the media at a prayer ceremony held in Defence for the father of Hassan Murtaza, General Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab.

 

Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan stated that the current state of politics is visible to everyone and every person is witnessing it. He said he cannot accept these elections as legitimate because Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was defeated, whereas Ata Tarar could not have possibly won against him. He remarked that any wonder boy must certainly be a hidden enemy.

 

The Peoples Party leader praised President Asif Ali Zardari, saying there must be something special about Asif Zardari that enabled him to become a civilian president for the second time. He emphasized that Lahore is the soul of the Peoples Party and he simply does not accept the defeat of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari from Lahore. He further added that voting for Benazir Bhutto means voting for Bilawal.

 

Speaking about Nawaz Sharif, Aitzaz Ahsan said that Nawaz Sharif was made to win against Dr. Yasmin Rashid through rigging. He mentioned that in the past, Nawaz Sharif and Peoples Party members used to pull each other down.
