Lahore: Advocate Riaz Anjum formally took oath as the President of the Christian Lawyers Association Pakistan (CLAP), along with his newly elected cabinet, at a graceful ceremony held on Friday, 20 November 2025.

The oath was administered by Provincial Minority Affairs Minister Ramesh Singh Arora, who appreciated the contributions of Christian lawyers toward justice and human rights in Pakistan. Human rights activist Napoleon Qayyum remarked that CLAP is like a beautiful bouquet of flowers, but emphasized that unity and hard work are essential. He added that after 35 years, such unity has finally emerged, and through continued dedication, the association can truly serve the Christian community of Pakistan.

The event was graced by prominent religious leaders, including Senior Pastor Anwar Fazal, Chairman of Eternal Life Ministries; Dr. Majeed Abel, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church; Bishop Azad Marshall; and Bishop Leo Paul, who offered their prayers, blessings, and best wishes for the new leadership.

In his address, President Riaz Anjum expressed deep gratitude to his colleagues, seniors, and well-wishers for their trust and support. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the community with integrity, unity, and courage, emphasizing a renewed focus on justice, harmony, and strengthening Christian legal representation across Pakistan.

He further stated that the collective prayers and encouragement of the community will guide CLAP toward a stronger and more united future.
