Pattaya, Thailand – A twelve-member Pakistani bodybuilding team delivered a spectacular performance at the Mr. Universe Competition held in Pattaya from September 12–15, 2025, winning an impressive five gold medals and one silver medal. The prestigious event was organized by the Global Power Lifting and Body Building International (GPBI) and witnessed strong international participation.
Following their historic achievement, the Pakistani athletes called on Ambassador of Pakistan to Thailand, Rukhsana Afzaal, to share their success. The Ambassador warmly congratulated the team and lauded their dedication, resilience, and hard work that brought pride to the nation.
Ambassador Afzaal has been widely recognized for her outstanding foreign service and diplomatic excellence in strengthening Pakistan–Thailand relations. Her proactive support for the Pakistani community in Thailand — ranging from business and cultural exchanges to sports and youth engagement — has been particularly commendable.
The athletes expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Afzaal for her encouragement and facilitation, acknowledging her role in promoting Pakistan’s positive image abroad. Under her leadership, the Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok continues to serve as a vital bridge between the two countries, fostering goodwill and cooperation at every level.
In addition, Ambassador Afzaal recently held a “Khuli Kacheri” to directly engage with members of the Pakistani community on 16th September. The online forum provided an opportunity to raise concerns on various issues, including requests related to the transfer of prisoners and other matters affecting the community. The Ambassador addressed these concerns and assured participants that necessary steps would be taken to support those in need.
