New Thai PM Anutin Charnvirakul Announces Ambitious Four-Point Reform Agenda
He pledged that his coalition government will immediately tackle four urgent national issues within the next four months.

Bangkok – Newly appointed Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who assumed office as Thailand’s 32nd Prime Minister on September 7, has pledged that his coalition government will immediately tackle four urgent national issues within the next four months.
Outlining his government’s priorities, the Prime Minister said the first focus will be economic relief, including cutting people’s expenses in energy and transport, providing debt relief for farmers and low-income earners, and boosting income at the community level.
The second priority will be border security, where the government will seek peaceful resolution of Thai–Cambodian border disputes, safeguard national sovereignty, and compensate families affected by tensions.
On natural disaster response, Anutin stressed strengthening early warning and prevention systems while ensuring fair and immediate rehabilitation and compensation for affected citizens.
The fourth area of focus is social issues, with the government vowing to intensify efforts against drugs, human trafficking, scams, and illegal gambling through close cooperation with neighboring and friendly nations.
Prime Minister Anutin further emphasized the government’s commitment to upholding the law and judicial process, pursuing constitutional amendments, and holding a new general election within four months to return decision-making power to the people.
He affirmed that the coalition will act “swiftly, decisively, and responsibly” to steer Thailand through these pressing challenges.
