Launch of "Thainess Power" – PRD Brings Thai Soft Power to Expo 2025 Osaka
The exhibition, under the concept of "Thainess Power", presents a modern perspective of Thai identity while positioning Thailand as an inspiration on the global stage

Thailand's Government Public Relations Department (PRD), in collaboration with the Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health, officially launched the exhibition "Thainess Power: Connecting Lives for Greatest Happiness" at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Located in the temporary exhibition zone behind the Thailand Pavilion in Osaka, Japan, the showcase drew large crowds eager to experience the charm of Thai culture through diverse and interactive activities.
The exhibition, under the concept of "Thainess Power", presents a modern perspective of Thai identity while positioning Thailand as an inspiration on the global stage. It emphasizes active audience engagement through fun, creative, and informative activities.
The exhibition is divided into several zones, including:
A Touch of Thainess Giveaway – promoting sustainable Thai tourism through eco-friendly souvenirs and local delicacies that highlight Thai wisdom aligned with global green trends.
The Power of Thailand – showcasing Thailand's wide range of soft power, from art, food, music, and festivals to performing arts, reflecting the country's growing influence as a hub of contemporary culture.
AI Photo Booth: Experience the Thailand Power – the highlight of the opening day, allowing visitors to virtually dress in traditional Thai attire against iconic Thai landmarks and download their photos as memorable souvenirs.
The first day was lively throughout, especially at the AI Photo Booth and the giveaway zone, which attracted steady streams of visitors. Many stopped to take photos, explore Thai cultural products, and learn more about Thailand.
The exhibition also launched the "Thai Soft Power Stamps" activity, featuring 14 categories of Thai soft power. From 1–4 September, visitors can collect stamps in the categories of Art, Food, and Performing Arts. The activity will continue daily until 16 September, with different themes highlighted in each period.
On the opening day alone, PRD's exhibition welcomed around 2,000 visitors:
100 participants joined A Touch of Thainess Giveaway,
250 joined The Power of Thailand,
412 joined the AI Photo Booth, and
over 1,000 participated in the stamp-collecting activity.
Meanwhile, the Thailand Pavilion overall attracted more than 12,000 visitors on the same day, as September marks the final month of Expo 2025 and crowds continue to grow.
PRD's participation in Expo 2025 is a significant opportunity to present Thailand's tangible soft power, communicate Thai identity in a modern context, and impress international visitors from the very first day of the showcase.
