Thai PM Joins Bangkok Pride Festival 2025
The event included the Bangkok Pride Forum 2025, featuring panel discussions on health, economy, technology, human rights, and education

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra participated in the Bangkok Pride Festival 2025 parade on 1 June, joining over 300,000 attendees in celebrating LGBTQIAN+ rights under the theme "Born This Way."
The premier was accompanied by several cabinet ministers and representatives from government agencies, private organizations, and civil society groups for the festival's third edition.
"Everyone deserves equal recognition of their rights, freedom, and identity," said the Prime Minister during the event, emphasizing that June marks the celebration of equality and freedom of choice.
The festival featured seven themed parade floats covering topics from love and marriage equality to healthcare access and environmental awareness. Participants marched three kilometers from the National Stadium to CentralWorld, carrying Thailand's longest rainbow flag at over 200 meters.
Thailand made history this year as the first Southeast Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage. The Prime Minister called this "the first door" toward broader equality, with the government planning additional legislation to protect LGBTQIAN+ rights.
The event included the Bangkok Pride Forum 2025, featuring panel discussions on health, economy, technology, human rights, and education, alongside performances by Thai celebrities and artists.
