Lahore: President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, attended the grand closing ceremony of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the chief guest and extended heartfelt congratulations to Lahore Qalandars for winning the PSL 10 title.

President Zardari presented the shining PSL 10 trophy to the winning team and awarded gold medals to the players. He also handed over a prize cheque to Lahore Qalandars' captain Shaheen Shah Afridi. The President commended the team, saying:
“Lahore Qalandars displayed exceptional performance in the final and successfully chased the target in a thrilling contest.”

He also appreciated the efforts of Quetta Gladiators, acknowledging their competitive spirit and contribution to making the final a memorable event for cricket fans.

President Zardari congratulated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management on the successful organization of the 10th edition of the PSL, highlighting the importance of such events for promoting peace and sportsmanship in the country.

During the event, the President paid tribute to the Pakistan Navy for its crucial role in national defense.
“During Operation Baniyan Marsous, the Pakistan Navy acted as a formidable wall in defending our maritime borders. Their vigilance and readiness prevented any aggressive action from the Indian Navy,” said the President.
He emphasized that “It is due to the sacrifices and successful defense by Pakistan’s armed forces that we are able to enjoy peaceful moments like the PSL final today.”

President Zardari’s presence at the ceremony added grandeur to the occasion and made it an unforgettable experience for both the players and the spectators.
