Karachi, Pakistan:  In a significant move to boost industrial development, the Sindh government has announced a partnership with Chinese investors to establish a mini truck assembly plant in Karachi. The collaboration, confirmed through an official statement, is expected to strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and China while enhancing the local automotive sector.

Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, representing the provincial government, also revealed plans to set up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Sindh, emphasizing that these initiatives will drive economic growth and promote sustainable transport solutions for businesses and individuals alike.

The announcement follows the grand unveiling of the **Super Mini Truck** in Bozhou, China, where Memon hailed the project as a landmark achievement in Pakistan-China industrial and technological cooperation. *"The Super Mini Truck is a testament to the strong partnership between our nations, opening new avenues for development and shared prosperity,"* he stated during the launch ceremony.

Developed jointly by **Chery Holding** and **Pedi Technology Company Limited**, the **Super Mini Truck** is designed to tackle logistics challenges in both urban and rural settings. Memon described the vehicle as a revolutionary innovation, combining advanced engineering, intelligent design, and environmental sustainability to meet Pakistan’s rising demand for affordable and efficient light commercial vehicles.

The upcoming assembly line in Karachi marks a pivotal step in positioning the city as a regional hub for automobile manufacturing. The project is anticipated to stimulate industrial growth, encourage local parts production, create job opportunities, and facilitate technology transfer. Memon assured that the Sindh government would provide full support, including regulatory facilitation, infrastructure development, and workforce training. He also highlighted the vehicle’s unique adaptability, noting that it can be converted into a **Super Mini Car** for added versatility.

During the ceremony, Memon praised **Yin Tongyue**, Chairman of Chery Holding, for his visionary leadership in fostering industrial collaboration between the two countries. The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah**, Zahid Bashir, Group CEO of Budget Petroleum Investment Holdings (Hong Kong), and other prominent figures.

This initiative underscores Sindh’s commitment to modernizing its transport infrastructure and leveraging international partnerships for long-term economic progress.
