First Aid Training “A First‑Aid Trained Person in Every Home” Held at MGM Church, Green Town
The closing ceremony on May 15 featured Chief Guest Mr. Rao Zaka‑ur‑Rehman, Deputy Secretary of Pakistan Red Crescent, Punjab, who personally distributed certificates to all participants.

Lahore, May 16, 2025 – Over two days, May 14–15, MGM Church in Christian Colony, Green Town, played host to the landmark first aid workshop titled “A First‑Aid Trained Person in Every Home.”, the intensive training saw participation from more than 120 attendees eager to acquire life‑saving skills.
Pastor Pervaiz Victor of MGM Church and Tamoor Sandhu, Country Representative of FGA USA, opened the event by emphasizing the critical importance of first aid readiness within every household. “We are honored to have Mr. M. Imran Latif with us,” they said in their joint welcome address, “one of Asia’s foremost first aid trainers and Assistant Director of First Aid at the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). His leadership and experience are invaluable in our mission to equip ordinary citizens with extraordinary skills.”
Mr. M. Imran Latif drew on 17 years of hands‑on experience in emergency response and complex humanitarian emergencies to guide participants through practical scenarios—ranging from CPR and choking relief to wound management and natural disaster response. Under his tutelage, more than 150,000 people across Asia have already acquired essential first aid competencies. Mr. Latif also serves on the International Red Cross Movement’s training panel and is an active member of the National Emergency Preparedness and Humanitarian Response Network (NEPHRN).

He also underscored the role of youth empowerment and behavioral change initiatives in strengthening community resilience, citing his own administrative leadership in multiple natural disaster operations.
With the success of this two‑day workshop, PRCS Punjab intend to replicate the “First‑Aid Trained Person in Every Home” initiative across Lahore’s neighborhoods and beyond, aiming to build a robust network of first responders at the grassroots level. Participants expressed eagerness to form local support groups, conduct refresher sessions, and champion first aid awareness in schools, and community centers.
