LAHORE POLICE ACTIVE AGAINST LAW-BREAKERS THROUGH SNAP CHECKING AND BARRICADES

Lahore: Lahore Police is actively engaged in curbing law-breakers through snap checking and barricades. In this regard, over 6,800 vehicles and other modes of transport have been checked through snap checking and barricades this month.
The spokesman Lahore Police stated this in a statement issued today. The spokesman further revealed that more than 29,000 motorcycles were also checked during this period. Action was taken against 233 motorcycles without documents and 17 motorcycles that were applied for but not registered.
CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized that strict checking of vehicles, motorcycles and suspicious individuals is being conducted at checkpoints throughout the city. He has directed field officers to enhance the effectiveness of checks and patrolling at barricades and to respond promptly in case of an emergency. He added that officers should personally review the performance of the force in the field and the measures taken to control crime.
The CCPO further instructed that during checks at barricades, the criminal records of suspicious individuals should be thoroughly examined and appropriate action should be taken. He urged police officers and personnel to diligently perform their duties to ensure the safety of the citizens and their property. He also reminded that citizens should be treated courteously during the checks.
