GCU Vice Chancellor meets international students
LAHORE: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor of Government College University (GCU) Lahore, met with the international students, and discussed with them the current situation as well as their academic journey and overall experience at the university.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor highlighted that GCU currently hosts the highest number of international students among public sector universities in Pakistan, proudly accommodating 51 students from various countries.
The students expressed appreciation for the university’s hospitality and shared their desire for increased scholarship opportunities and organized visits to scenic regions of Pakistan.
“You are not just students; you are ambassadors of your nations,” Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Omer Chaudhry remarked. “No one can represent GCU better than you when you return to your home countries.”
The Vice Chancellor assured the students of the university’s full support and reiterated GCU’s commitment to expanding its global outreach. “We want more students like you. Your presence enriches our academic environment and fosters mutual understanding across cultures,” he said.
